Join us on our journey to find out how far the relationship between farmer and consumer can be taken to save a smaller family-run farm. It has led us to convert the Stableblock, a fantastic place to stay, meet, work or relax and share in our story still firmly forged by being farmers of the land around which it is situated, and which has been farmed for over 1000 years.
Meeting Space & Catering
Unique, Characterful & Inspiring: the perfect space for a bespoke conference, training event or product launch - in fact any occasion. The Stable Block is a superbly renovated building within the curtilage of Gothelney Hall, a beautiful Grade I listed farmhouse dating to 1400.
The Stableblock is the latest incarnation of settlement here dating back to 1026. Right at the heart of the farm, it is a characterful, comfortable and cosy place to visit.
Host friends from the region, take a breather en route to Cornwall, or enjoy in its own right – we are in the heart of the Somerset countryside at the foot of the Quantock Hills, and a stones throw from the coast.
“Godelege” (‘good meadow’) in the Doomsday Book became Gothelney (‘open fields’) in Anglo Saxon times. At Gothelney we treasure our heritage but look to the future, exploring new ideas and breathing life into old ones to bring the finest quality products to your table as responsibly as we can.
